More Racist BS from McCain/Palin Supporters

Everytime I find this s**t, I plan on posting it! Here's more evidence of the kind of racially divisive hate and fear mongering created by John McCain and Sarah Palin at their rallies.

Here's a link to the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRqcfqiXCX0

If you can't stomach watching it, then here's a few of the quotes:

"I'm afraid if he wins, the black [sic] will take over. He's not a Christian! This is a Christian nation! What is our country gonna end up like?"

"When you got a Negro running for president, you need a first stringer. He's definitely a second stringer." (Note: It's unclear whether he says "Negro" or "Nigger"... Thoughts?)

"He seems like a sheep - or a wolf in sheep's clothing to be honest with you. And I believe Palin - she's filled with the Holy Spirit, and I believe she's gonna bring honesty and integrity to the White House."

"He's related to a known terrorist, for one." (Who would that be? His white mother, grandparents????)

"He is friends with a terrorist of this country!"

"He must support terrorists! You know, uh, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck. And that to me is Obama."

"Just the whole, Muslim thing, and everything, and everybody's still kinda - a lot of people have forgotten about 9/11, but... I dunno, it's just kinda... a little unnerving."

"Obama and his wife, I'm concerned that they could be anti-white. That he might hide that."

"I don't like the fact that he thinks us white people are trash... because we're not!"

Wow. It breaks my heart that such ignorance still runs rampant in our country.

You do know that there are reports that many of these that happen to be right by cameras are plants right?

Wed, 10/15/2008 - 1:13pm

3

Can you please provide links to some of those reports, GS? Thanks in advance.

Don't by the camera plant story. Sorry. People would make their children pawns as well as force their kids to say racists things, like that little girl who said about Obama "You have to touch him with gloves on".

Adren, I'm sorry, I don't understand your last post.

And, whip, it isn't just plants it is the reporting of them or lack of reporting as well. For example:

Ana Marie Cox did not transcribe the quote correctly. It’s not: “I’m scared of Barack Obama… he’s an Arab terrorist…” It’s: “I can’t trust Obama. I have read about him, and he’s not he’s not he’s a uh he’s an Arab.” “Terrorist” is simply not there. The McCain quote is a bit off too. He says: “He’s a decent family man citizen that I just happen to have some disagreements with on fundamental issues.” Don’t pin “terrorist” on the little old lady in the audience, and don’t pin “whom” on the presidential candidate.

AND: Note that Time’s Cox (or whoever did the transcription) not only added “terrorist” but also substituted “scared” for “can’t trust.” What does that say about the mind of the transcriber? It suggests the press is looking for evidence of fear and fear mongering. I think we’re seeing a grasping for more evidence to justify blaming the campaign for deranging the minds of McCain’s supporters. But if this woman’s concern is that Obama is an Arab and that you can’t trust him because of that, then it has nothing much to do with the Ayers connection that the McCain campaign promoted this week. So spike the quote with “terrorism” and “scared.”

Glenn Reynolds explains:

"So we’ve had nearly 8 years of lefty assassination fantasies about George W. Bush, and Bill Ayers’ bombing campaign is explained away as a consequence of him having just felt so strongly about social justice, but a few people yell things at McCain rallies and suddenly it’s a sign that anger is out of control in American politics? It’s nice of McCain to try to tamp that down, and James Taranto sounds a proper cautionary note—but, please, can we also note the staggering level of hypocrisy here? (And that’s before we get to the Obama campaign’s thuggish tactics aimed at silencing critics.)

The Angry Left has gotten away with all sorts of beyond-the-pale behavior throughout the Bush Administration. The double standards involved—particularly on the part of the press—are what are feeding this anger. (Indeed, as Ann Althouse and John Leo have noted, the reporting on this very issue is dubious). So while asking for McCain supporters to chill a bit, can we also ask the press to start doing its job rather than openly shilling for a Democratic victory? Self-control is for everybody, if it’s for anybody. . . ."

I would disagree with Glenn that the crowds are even that angry. Yes, there are angry individuals and there seems to be some resentment directed solely at the press. But there is also a good deal of enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. If you watch the video of the fellow in Wisconsin saying that he was “mad – really mad,” you would be forced to note that after he had decried Obama’s “socialism,” and asked McCain to “fight for us,” the crowd did not call for lynching Obama but instead erupted into chants of “USA, USA.”

GS, I just feel sorry for people who believe every dramatic thing they hear, read, and even see nowadays. I'm willing to accept that even some of the things I hear bad about Obama might be made up or embellished. You never know. The important thing is to just consider their positions, and vote for which one you like best. Forget the drama, because that's what it is... drama.

I'm well aware that there are racist rednecks out there who WOULD say these kind of things, but they don't speak for the vast majority of conservatives.

Amen Kris.

Also, because of those racist rednecks is why I am opposed to using Obama's middle name in speech. I think it is of course his name, but using it the way I've heard it is a fear mongering tactic that is aimed directly at the ignorant people who can't differentiate an ethnic name from a stereotype.

These are the kind of people who believe everything they see, hear, and read.

Truly sad ... and that is coming from a corn fed hillbilly... Smiling

GS...maybe I misunderstood. Please clarify what you mean by this:

You do know that there are reports that many of these that happen to be right by cameras are plants right?

Hate is Hate. And Fear is Fear. Is it odd to anybody that this type of hate and fearmongering started after the "Palling around with Terrorists" Speech? When I heard her go on the attack with they Ayers line I had a feeling that race would play an issue in this campaign, but didn't think it would be this blatant and obvious racism that's being reported in the past few weeks. I understand that racism will always play a role in politics, whether you're black, white, brown, etc,. And I don't think McCain or Palin are racists...far from it. But let's face it...people are going to listen to what they say, drink the Kool-Aid and spit it out in disgusting ways. It's up to the candidates to draw the line and put a stop to it. But yet, it drones on. Now I'm hearing that McCain may take this line of attack with Obama, and I have to say "Why?". Knowing how this fuels these hate mongerers and racists, why give them the satisfaction? But he will, and tomorrow they're will be more videos and more hate and I'll be here posting them.

Wed, 10/15/2008 - 3:13pm

13

Oops...what i mean to say is "McCain may take this line of attack tonight at the debate with Obama..."

So let me get this straight, are you upset with McCain because of the opinions of some of his supporters?
Because if that is the case I have some stories for you! Smiling
See here:
Obama fans have been coming to Palin rallies wearing shirts that read, "Sarah Palin is a C*nt".
We women have always held that word as unacceptable and this would never be permitted by our mass media if the shirts was targeting a liberal as a c*nt.
Pictures here:
Also, how about the statement a recent liberal celebrity supporter said of Sarah Palin ?
Sandra Bernhard’s said if Palin were to set foot into Manhattan, she’d be "gang-raped by black men"?
Here's more of Bernhard's comments, "Now you got Uncle Women, like Sarah Palin, who jumps on the sh** and points her fingers at other women. Turncoat b*tch! Don’t you f*****’ reference Old Testament, b*tch!” Bernhard said. “You stay with your new Goyish crappy shiksa funky bullsh*t! Don’t you touch my Old Testament, you b***h! Because we have left it open for interpre-ta-tion! It is no longer taken literally! You wh*** in your f*****’ cheap New Vision cheap-a** plastic glasses and your [sneering voice] hair up. A Tina Fey-Megan Mullally brokedown bullsh** moment."
You're right AdrennaLynn "hate is hate" and both sides are guilty of it.
So what's your point?

Where is the outrage about that?

I have heard Audio where McCain supporters are being shouted at by Obama supporters "Nazi germany, nazi germany"

Sandra Barnhard has been saying cr*p about every Republican candidate since I was born. I'm 33. I don't see Obama or Biden inciting her hate for McCain or Palin's gender or race. I saw her stand-up 5 years ago and she didn't have a nice thing to say about Bush? Did Obama set up the forum for that? NO!

As for those t-shirts...the woman who made it is a Obama supporter, she's also a Libertarian not a Democrat. Let's face it people of all parties don't like Sarah Palin. And I agree the T-shirt is not good, but you don't see Obama going out there and inciting them to do that by telling his supporters "Sarah Palin pals around with Anti-Anericans and Abusing her Power". In fact he barely mentions her at all. So stupid people wearing those shirts aren't getting those feelings about Sarah because of something Obama said.

My point with bringing up the racism cr*p is that this didn't start until the Bill Ayers hate and fearmongering rhetoric started. Bad and stupid people have been attending both rallies since the beginning, but lately more of the hate and racism have been coming only from one side. And the Obama supporters aren't the ones bringing stuffed monkeys with an Obama sticker across it. So why is that?

Why all this disgusting racist hate all of sudden? Why is it suddenly bad to be an Arab? Why are people shouting words like "Terrorist" or "Little Hussein" or the other crap coming from McCain supporters lately? Hmmmmm.....
