I have a Jack Russel & Dachshund mix who I named Buffy after my favorite TV show heroine. And when I get another dog, I'll name him SPIKE! Buffy was adopted from the humane society last November. We've been together for over a year, and she is the best dog with the best temperament. When I first saw her, I was a bit hesitant, because she was part Jack Russel. If you ever had a Jack, you'll know what I mean. These are active dogs and need lots of attention, something I wasn't sure I could give. I really wanted a chill dog and I got really lucky with Buffy. She is so chill, she puts me to shame. She sleeps a lot, but gets so excited when we go for walks and meet other dogs. She's so awesome. And since Oki came along, she's gotten more playful and now has someone to keep her busy all day.
Next is Oki, who is really my brother's dog, but since they both live with me, he has become my dog too. Oki is still a puppy, if you can believe it, and weighs close to 60 lbs. He is extremely active, vocal and fun to play with. He's a bit of a greedy petey, always wanting snacks and hogging up all of Buffy's foods and treats. He also behaves at times like a child. If he doesn't get his way, he gets upset and often times acts up, like chewing things he knows he's not supposed to or not listening when you ask him to stop. He loves to chase Buffy in the backyard, and a few times he's fallen into the pool. He's a little lover as well, always wanting affection.
